We've moved so very far away from many of our loved ones. Hopefully this will be a way for everyone to stay connected to what we're doing over here on the other side of the country.

Busy much?
Since we've gotten back from our amazing honeymoon in August, life has been a bit whirlwind. Two weeks after we returned from Tahiti, we were back in CA to look at our wedding album. Then, I went back to work a couple days after that and we hosted a BBQ for about 20 people the next weekend....Phew!
A couple of weeks after school began we went back to CA to celebrate the nuptials of Dallas and Stephanie. It is always fun to get the cousins together. Can't wait for Thanksgiving Friday this year!
After this we had one week of reprieve....we basically did laundry, work, and homework. Oh, yeah and I started going back to school after Labor Day. I am working on my Master's Degree in Education. The program is focused on Integrating Technology into Schools. It is a 5 hour class once a week, and there is just about as much homework as there is class. It is quite the time commitment, but parts of the program have very practical application in the classroom and it will jump me 3 spots on the payscale. Can't complain about that (especially since I've made the same salary for 3 years!)
Now, we are in to October and Kristan came and visited us for a quick weekend. We had a blast! Friday night we went to a local brewery and enjoyed some adult beverages and dinner on their terrace with a lake view. It was probably some of the best evening weather that we'll have until next May! On Saturday we went into DC and saw all of the monuments, a big rally, and the American History Museum. Then, we went out with Andrew's parents for an amazing dinner at Brasserie Beck. For them, it was a relatively short dinner. We were only there for 2 hours, but amazing nonetheless. On Sunday, we headed out to see Manassas (Bull Run) Battlefield before we had to take K to the airport. It was a wonderful day for a walking tour.
Hello October!
